Executive Summary - Process Improvement Project

The Red and Black is the local University of Georgia campus newspaper organized by and intended primarily for students. Their goal is to represent the school and community by delivering 16,000 newspapers five days a week to 51 locations across campus. However, the distribution process is problematic. A group of six students (the "Brat Pack") from Tony Polito's MAN320 class gathered data to determine how this problem could be corrected. We established that remote bins needed fewer papers in order to establish a new bin in a high "traffic" area. The new bin will be implemented as soon as the University veifies the addition.
