Efficiency is a major factor that contributes to the success of a business, if it is executed within all areas of operation. The amount of success a company experiences can be dampened by inefficient processes. The Extreme Team approached the business Destination Success and came across such a problem. Destination Success was experiencing a low profit margin per unit sold of their product. When we used Ishikawa�s tree diagram to find the root cause, we discovered Destination Success had an inefficient distribution process. By using the advice of Deming, we implemented an experimental distribution process on a small scale that was more efficient and created a higher profit margin.
